adidas Stan Smith (White/Fairway)

stan smith trainers // footasylum

It's funny that 6 months ago I wasn't really into Stan Smiths and now I have two pairs. Only once you put them on are you like... oh, these go with every single thing I own. Neat. I kind of want the dark blue pair to finish off my collection but I feel like that's just getting a bit excessive. I also much prefer having these ones with the soft heel and off-white sole as opposed to the all leather pair that are completely white.

Calvin Klein Part 2

cropped trousers // asos
stan smith trainers // adidas via footasylum

I'm not over the beauty of this t-shirt and I probably won't ever be (I better not anytime soon anyway considering it cost £45). As we head into summer I can thankfully start wearing my cropped trousers/culottes more often. Recently I've had to put them on hold because the rain in Manchester has been ridiculous. All it has done is rain on and off. I also love cropped things because it only means I have to shave the bottom half of my legs. Do I care about sharing that information? Nope. Am I lazy when it comes to shaving my legs? Yessir I am.

Lace Bralette & Ombre Lip

forever t-shirt // asos
lace bralette // monki via asos
jeans // asos
slip-ons // office

The lace bralette I picked up for £7 in an ASOS sale. Hello awesome. I'm not one for wearing bralettes as tops, so I'm showing it off under this light white tee (also from ASOS). The iridescent Office slip-ons have returned from the bottom of my wardrobe for the summer months. They're still in stock from last year and I'll be styling them up with white shirts and all black outfits!

The ombre lip was a little experiment that I LOVE. To watch how I did it check out my YouTube video here or embedded below :)

Shades Of Grey

duster coat // asos
t shirt // asos
cropped trousers // asos
trainers // nike via footasylum

Me and this duster coat are going to be great friends over the summer! I feel so done up because it's tailored and long, even when the rest of me is a mess. I can't wait to wear it with crop tops and shorts when the weather gets warmer. It'll allow me to show some skin but still look like I'm massively covered up. Win win. I've been a terrible blogger this week with regards to posting... oops. Sometimes I can be awesome and get lots of blogging done alongside my job, and sometimes I fail miserably. I'll try better next week!

Nike Roshe Run Perforated (Wolf Grey/White)

nike roshe run // footasylum

I've had these a while now and forgot to put a post up showing them! As you can see they suit my very minimal colour palette to a T. Roshes are so comfy, they're easily one of the comfiest trainers you can possibly get. They're an odd silhouette with the wide sole but it adds to the comfort level. They're just a nice pair to add to my ever growing collection.

Monday Morning Inspiration

ASOS posted this picture on their instagram (from @nateishamonique) and it made me fall in love with blue jeans all over again. It also really made me want some mules. Well, even more. I already wanted mules. I wouldn't get these particular ones as I'd prefer them to be matte black, but they look so good with the jeans I couldn't help but share!

Rose Gold Accessories

watch // new look

I have a big thing for rose gold at the minute. I'd rather wear rose gold than gold or silver, it's just not as easy to come by. I found a few rings and a chain in h&m which is a start, but I really wanted a rose gold watch. I will eventually buy a more expensive version, but this under £20 one from New Look is a bargain start. It's a little too big so I need to take it to have a few links removed, but otherwise I'm chuffed with it. I've been thinking for a while about saving up to get an Alexander Wang Rocco bag. I know they're quite "old" now or whatever but they're still the nicest designer bag I've probably ever wanted, and I don't see the point in getting something new if I don't like it as much. Thing is, I really want the one with rose gold studs! Frankly I'm only gonna buy it if it has rose gold studs. So pretty.

Iconemesis Gemma Correll Phone Case

iphone 6 case // iconemesis*

Soooo... how insanely cute is this case? It's from iconemesis and designed by Gemma Correll, the woman behind the 'pugs not drugs' tees you've probably seen. There is actually a pug version of this case and I was really torn between the two, but in the end I am a cat person and kitties are life, so I'm genuinely happy to be walking around with smiling cats on my phone. Also the phone case is really nice quality. I expected it to be your normal shiny plastic but it's a matt kind of rubber feeling finish that's almost soft to the touch.

Honestly, I would usually go for something minimal (usually black or white lol, definitely not colourful) but I couldn't resist the cats, so there you go.

Gazelle

duster coat // asos (sold out I believe)
top // monki via asos
jeans // topshop

I have a serious case of double stripes going on and I LAV it. My duster coat is my favourite thing to chuck over pretty much any outfit now and look like I made an effort. The lip colour is 'Ghoulish' by LASplash cosmetics. I had to order it in from America but it was worth it, that greyish brown shade is the one.

Monday Morning Inspiration

I recently got rid of my ombre hair and went a slightly darker brown, all in the name of wanting my hair to look healthier. I go back and forth all the time over whether I want to eventually be a blonde again, or I'd rather stay a brunette. If you don't recognise the above model she's Candice Swanepoel, an absolutely stunning Victoria's Secret angel. I've even done an outfit post before inspired by her. She's also blonde and I never imagined she'd look so amazing brunette! Her long healthy brunette hair in this old picture of her is g.o.a.l.s.

Styling Nike Benassi Slides/Sliders

crop // topshop
jeans // asos
leather jacket // '80s vintage
bag // gift (topshop I think)
benassi slides // nike via footasylum

A quick little outfit for you to coincide with my styling up sliders/sliders video. I know the socks and sandals look isn't for everyone, to be honest I go back and forth with how I feel about it as well, but with the right socks and styled in a simple outfit I think it can look pretty cool. Very relaxed and I-don't-give-a-crap vibe. Check out the video on my channel or below.

adidas Originals Gazelle OG (Black)

adidas originals gazelle // footasylum

A lot of gals and guys own these beauties so I'm not going to harp on about them for too long. I didn't plan on getting them but I couldn't resist when they were right in front of me. I just love how sleek and slim the silhouette is, and I like the look of Superstars but I don't want Superstars so these fit the bill perfectly. Can't wait to style them.

Pretty Little Thing Bodysuit

wrap bodysuit // pretty little thing
skirt // ark
stan smith trainers // adidas via footasylum

Sooo... boobylicious or what? Now I am not hiding a huge load of boob under here, and if I was then I think I'd definitely require some kind of bra or boob tape! But as I'm a smaller chested gal and proud, I'm sans bra and letting it all hang out... almost literally because they are almost falling out. I think I might need some nipple covers. Genuinely. Help, advice on leaving the house in this ;p All that aside I love the bodysuit, I think it's gorgeous and the price (a tenner) is fab. I have to give it to Chloe of The Little Plum because I saw this on her blog first and totes copied.

Calvin Klein

bomber // topshop
jeans // asos
bag // urban outfitters
trainers // adidas via footasylum

First things first: I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA. If you check out my blog often then you might be able to tell that the quality of these images is a lot better than they previously were. Not to say that my Nikon d5100 was shit, but my new Canon 700d (I am so happy I can write that) and 50mm 1.8 lens are A BLOGGER'S DREAM. And an amateur photographer's dream tbh. My unskilled boyfriend handled them very well. Also isn't it great to see pictures on my blog that weren't taken in my bedroom? :D Now on to the outfit...

I usually try not to buy into trends, especially when they involve £45 t-shirts, but I couldn't resist it. Wearing CK immediately gives that relaxed 90s vibe and makes me think of Kate Moss. I'm also wearing my new Stan Smiths. I didn't see myself getting another pair after my zebra/white editions, but I got quite a bit of discount on them and they're just such an easy shoe to style up.

Monday Morning Inspiration

Two things:

suede jackets and birkenstocks

I want a suede jacket and I want Birkenstocks. I also really want a jacket that ties at the waist, so this one is doing everything for me. I didn't fancy Birkenstocks this time last year, but I'm really feeling them this summer as a comfy option to chuck on with blue jeans and open shirts.

April Bloggers Style File

I still can't quite believe April is over, so this post just feels weird. April was a good month blogger-wise for really simplistic outfits with specific pieces just killing it.

ebba // ebbazingmark

Ebba is one of my favourite non-UK bloggers. I discovered her through Lookbook and I am very envious of her trainer collection. I adore this outfit in particular cos it's a mixture of three of my favourite things: baby blue, oversized tailoring and white trainers. <3

lydia // fashion influx

I've always loved Lydia's fashion posts, but I'm enjoying all the lifestyle posts she's been putting out recently as well. Besides just loving how simple this outfit is, I'm always inspired by how good her pictures look taken inside her house. As someone who also has to deal with the tripod-in-the-bedroom life, it's nice to be reminded that you don't need an exotic background.

The striped co-ord is well nice, and I like the little add-ons. Nice shades and the over the shoulder bumbag... which shouldn't work but looks so 'I just threw this on, I don't even care' cool.

isabella // isabellathordsen

Last but not least, I of course discovered Isabella because she's an ASOS stylist. She's pretty much the go to for white and denim basics, and I'm always checking out her picks on the website. I'm seeing suede jackets everywhere and it does add a touch of colour but it's not too much. Again, doing taken-inside-the-house blog photos well #inspo

That's it for April. Hope you enjoyed. Please comment if you felt inspired, I neeeeed to find more fashion blogs to read and support, and I don't know where to start looking.
